He is known worldwide as the creator of the iconic children’s character, Miffy. SZI's focus: to design a museum that honors the creativity and imagination of Bruna’s own work.

Creating a High-Fashion Exhibit How does the Internet affect global fashion? That was the key question behind this exhibit, “Global Fashion/Local Tradition.” Using audio, video, and other media, SZI gave visitors a world tour of fashion, from African tribal dress to Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano.

Producing a Gala Event This museum’s first gala had a clear goal: to fundraise. SZI totally embraced the museum's Surrealist theme, creating a giant eyeball to float in the fountain; a cocktail party in a frosted nylon bubble; and a dinner with servers offering bread from birdcages.
